Don't call Singaporeans dogs or you may be jailed ... or worse if you are a student your scholarship may be rescinded

A Chinese university student in Singapore has been fined and ordered to perform community service for calling Singaporeans "dogs" in a microblog, local media said Monday.

In addition to three months community service and a fine of S$3,000 (RM7,310), Sun Xu, a 25-year-old senior at the National University of Singapore (NUS), will have his scholarship rescinded in his final semester.

"As the student had acted in a manner that was detrimental to the reputation and welfare of the university community, his actions breached the NUS Code of Student Conduct," said a university circular posted by national broadcaster Channel NewsAsia on its Facebook site.

"The Board of Discipline has ruled that his remarks were improper, insensitive and disrespectful... The remarks had also stirred up considerable unease, distrust and ill-will within and beyond the university community."

Last month, Sun enraged Singaporeans by posting on popular Chinese microblogging site Weibo that "there are more dogs than people" in the city-state, whose resident population is 74 per cent ethnic Chinese - Malay Mail

If farmers cannot sell their pork, ask soldiers to eat them

In what might be called a "pork barreling" move, Liu Chien-kuo and Chen Ming-wen, both from Taiwan's opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), proposed that the country's 270,000 servicemen eat a kilogram of pork a day. The proposal was meant to alleviate the plight of pig farmers in Taiwan.

"A 100-kilogram pig sells for less than NT$5,000 (US$169) nowadays," Liu said, adding that if each solider eats a kilogram of pork each day, roughly 3,000 more will be sold each day.

The DPP lawmaker also suggested that his recommendation be immediately carried out. Merely encouraging the procurement of pork is not enough, said Liu.

"Our pigs are not fed leanness enhancers and eating pork is a good deed," Liu stressed - China Post

What is a minister for?

State Enterprises Minister Dahlan Iskan caused a commotion at a tollgate in Jakarta on Tuesday after becoming upset by the long queue blocking his way.

Dahlan was heading to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, Banten, for a 7 a.m. meeting when his car arrived at a queue of approximately 30 automobiles at a tollgate in the Semanggi area of Central Jakarta at around 6:10 a.m.

He was immediately angered by the sight, saying he had instructed that there should be only five cars queuing at each ticket counter.

The minister got out of his car and marched up to the counters. He became even more upset when he saw only two out of the four booths were open.

He took the chair from one of the empty booths and threw it outside, shouting, “This chair is useless!”

He then lifted the barrier blocking the way and gestured for other vehicles to pass through without paying. About 100 automobiles drove through - Jakarta Globe

How to kill your husband

An Egyptian woman had sex with her husband all the night to exhaust him, waited for him to feel asleep and stabbed him to death. She then cut his body into little pieces and fed them to cats and dogs.

The woman, who was arrested two weeks after the murder, told police she decided to murder her man because he had persistently mistreated her.

It also took her nearly two weeks to plan for the murder. After surfing through the internet for a good plot that could elude police, she found that the best way is to exhaust him by having sex with him all the night so he will fall asleep.

The woman, a tour guide, said she carried out that plan to the letter and that it did work.

Her husband Adel Abdullah, also a tour guide in the central town of Minya, was worn out and was fast asleep after a full night sexual session.

She then brought a knife and started to stab him but he did not die as the knife was small. She then brought a big knife and finished him off before lying on the bed next to him for several hours to take rest.

"After I woke up, I began skinning him and cutting his body into little pieces. I put the pieces inside bags and started throwing them to stray cats and dogs in the back garden."

"I then sat on the balcony watching them eating," she told police, according to Egyptian newspapers.

"Every time they finished a piece, I threw them another piece. I then crushed his skull and bones with the gas cylinder, put black paint on them and dumped them in the garbage bin so no one will recognise them."

The end is near, emails are cropping up from the grave

More than a decade after Peter Fenton reported on the phenomenon of receiving email from the dead, a new story about messages from the beyond is burning up the Internet.

"One night in November, I was sitting on my couch, going through my emails on my phone and it popped up, 'sender: Jack Froese.' I turned ghost white when I read it," Tim Hart of Pennsylvania recently told the BBC. "It was very quick and short but to a point that only Jack and I could relate on."

"I'm Watching" read the subject line to the email that went on: "Did you hear me? I'm at your house. Clean your f***ing attic!!!"

Thing is, Froese, 32, had died five months earlier of a heart arrhythmia.

Hart wasn't the only one who says he received an email from his late friend, and his wasn't even the spookiest - digitallife.com

If you are an atheist and a soldier, beware. Someone out there is waiting to kill you

Texas authorities announced last month that they had recovered the remains of Jose Ramirez seven years after he went missing. But as the investigation is renewed, they add there is now reason to believe the soldier was killed for being an atheist.

Law enforcement in Clay County, Texas arrested 30-year-old Justin Green for the murder of Ramirez only earlier this year for a crime they suspect to have occurred back in 2007. As investigators try to find a motive for the alleged murderer's actions, they’ve ended up speaking with a handful of associates also accused of aiding in the homicide. While details on the death and the reasoning for why it was carried out are still vague, one of those close the matter believe Green gunned down Ramirez for his lack of faith.

If a religious group can bless a highway, an atheist group can always unbless it

A group of atheists in Florida spent part of their weekend washing away a blessing placed upon a local highway by a religious group.

Armed with brooms, mops and "unholy water," the atheists gathered Saturday to symbolically clean up holy oil that Polk Under Prayer put down on Highway 98 near the Pasco-Polk county line last year, Bay News 9 reported.

"We come in peace," Humanists of Florida director Mark Palmer announced before he and members of other atheist organizations launched their cleanup. "Now that's normally what aliens say when they visit a new planet, but we're not aliens, we're atheists!"

If you are an Indonesian mayor, you can refuse to serve your jail sentence

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said they were ready to forcibly drag graft convict and former Bekasi mayor Mochtar Muhammad to prison if he continued to avoid his sentence.

Mochtar was sentenced to six years in prison after being convicted on several counts of corruption last week.

He was scheduled to serve his first of 2,191 days in prison on Thursday.

But Mochtar didn't show.

The former mayor's lawyer, Sirra Prayuna, said that Mochtar refused to go to prison because he was still waiting for a copy of the Supreme Court's verdict on his sentencing. The Supreme Court sentenced Mochtar to six years in prison and Rp 300 million ($32,700) in fines last week, overturning a prior acquittal from the Bandung Anti-Corruption Court.

“As of today he hasn’t received a copy,” Sirra said at the KPK office in Jakarta on Thursday, adding the anti-graft body could not make Mochtar serve his time without first sending him copy of the sentencing.

Love story: Can you beat this?

In 1967, Pham Ngoc Canh, 18, was sent to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) to study chemical mechanics at the Hamhung Chemistry and Industry University. Hamhung is the second largest city, an important chemical industry center in the DPRK and the capital of South Hamgy┼Ćng Province.

After four years studying at the university, in 1971, the Vietnamese man began working as an apprentice at a fertilizer factory in Hamhung, where he met a girl named Ri Yong Hui, who worked in the analysis division.

One day, Ri Yong Hui noticed someone was looking at her through the window. That was Pham Ngoc Canh. From this eye contact, they fell in love, which they didn’t think would continue for 31 years.

They loved each other in secret because the DPRK’s law at that time didn’t allow Korean girls to love and marry foreigners. The society didn’t support such relationships.

Two years later, Canh had to return to Vietnam.

“I will wait for you forever,” Ri Yong Hui promised. She was ill for months. She even tried to commit suicide but her mother rescued her in time.

Several months later, Ri Yong Hui received the first letter from Vietnam. The letter was not for her but for her mother and the sender was “Pom Noc Kieng”, a Korean girl. They couldn’t write each other as lovers, and could only ask “Are you all right?” “I wish you will always fulfill your assigned missions” or “Is Hamhung snowy this winter?”

Those “dry” words were the breath of life for Ri Yong Hui. She read the letters hundreds of times and burnt them afterwards for fear that someone would discover their relationship. In Vietnam, Ri Yong Hui’s letters became Canh’s treasures.

In 1978, Canh was sent to DPRK again to attend a 3-month training course. He had to disguise himself to see Ri Yong Hui. The situation didn’t impove. As his course was nearly finished, Canh wrote a letter and managed to send it to the chief of the DPRK Women Union to present their case. However, Ri Yong Hui prevented him from sending the letter because she knew that was hopeless. “Let’s go home! I will wait for you forever,” she told Canh.

Returning to Vietnam, Canh became enthusiastically involved in all activities related to the DPRK, including raising funds to assist DPRK people. He then became the permanent member of the Vietnam-DPRK Friendship Association.

The couple still wrote to each other until 1992, when Canh received the last letter from his girlfriend. His efforts to find her all failed.

In 1997, Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Manh Cam paid a visit to the DPRK. Canh wrote a letter and directly saw the Minister to ask for help. Mr. Cam agreed and brought the letter to the DPRK. After that, the DPRK Embassy informed Canh that Ri Yong Hui got married.

Canh didn’t believe this because if she wanted to get married, she would have done so many years earlier.

At that time, Canh moved from the General Department of Chemistry to the Hanoi Department of Sports and Physical Training as an interpreter for DPRK taekwondo coaches, to get information about his girlfriend.

In 2001, he was informed that Ri Yong Hui died of sickness ten years earlier. But his friend, Park Sang Kim, an interpreter for DPRK high-ranking delegations to Vietnam, went to Hamhung to look for Ri Yong Hui. He discovered that the woman was still healthy and still loved Canh.

Canh was very happy and he still waited for a chance which came in May 2002 when a Vietnamese high-ranking delegation visited the DPRK.

Canh wrote a letter and sent it to some members of the delegation, asking for their assistance. Shortly after, Canh suddenly received a document of the DPRK authorities that allowed him to marry Ri Yong Hui.

He immediately prepared the wedding and fulfilled the necessary procedures to go to the DPRK. On October 1, 2002, he arrived in Pyongyang. Several days later, Ri Yong Hui arrived too. The 31-year love had a happy ending.

They came back to Vietnam and the wedding ceremony was organized on December 31, 2002 in Hanoi. At that time, the groom was 54 and the bride was 55.

Thanks to the media, some brothers and sisters of Ri Yong Hui from South Korea learned about the couple and went to Hanoi to see Ri Yong Hui.

VietNamNet reporter visited Mr. Canh and Mrs. Ri Yong Hui in late 2010. They live in an apartment in Hanoi. Mr. Canh retired while Mrs. Ri Yong Hui taught Korean at a foreign language center.

Mr. Canh said that they returned to the DPRK by train from Beijing in November 2010. They prepared many gifts, from electric torches to clothes and shoes. Though the couple could only stay in Pyongyang, Mrs. Ri Yong Hui was very happy to return home.

Officials at the Vietnamese Embassy in Pyongyang told them that many people from Hamhung city asked them about Ri Yong Hui and her now legendary love story - VietNamNet

If you are a lover of free porn movie, maybe you should move to this town

Shocked homeowners woke to find their well-to-do residential street had been littered with more than a hundred 'filthy' pornographic DVDs. Around 100 copies of the 18-rated film, called Big Knockers, were dumped on the tree-lined road and spread along the verge and pavement. Another batch of around 50 explicit DVDs, called Mucky's Dipstick, was also found lying in clear view around 500 yards away.

Shocked residents quickly gathered up the discs in a bid to stop children from seeing them as they walked to a nearby school. But many had already been shattered as early morning traffic drove over them, in Pinkneys Road, Maidenhead, Berkshire.

Good college grades are only for beautiful students. If you are ugly, don't go to college, stay home

A female student at the Sunundha Rajabhat University has submitted a complaint with the dean against an Education Faculty lecturer who she claimed based his grades on the attractiveness of the students. She alleged the lecturer will only help attractive female students with questions, while turning away students who are less appealing. She also claimed her fellow students have been sexually harassed by the lecturer. The student claimed the professor has touched the students who wear short skirts and tight fitting uniform inappropriately.

However, she claimed fellow students who were subjected to the lecturer's inappropriate conduct have refused to come forward, fearing repercussions on their grades.

The dean of Sunandha Rajabhat University revealed the female student has submitted a formal complaint against the lecturer for allegedly giving unfair grades. Sunandha Rajabhat dean, Chuangchote Pantuwej, said a committee will be set up to investigate her claim and, if necessary, revise her grades accordingly. He also said he's met with the chief of the Education Faculty to ask if he was aware of the claim of sexual harassment against the faculty lecturer. The faculty chief denied any knowledge into the claim and has been ordered to investigate the allegation and report back to Chuangchote.

Jesus Christ is buried in Japan

Yoshikazu Okada claims that Jesus was of Japanese descent, trained in Japan, escaped the crucifixion, returned to Japan, and eventually died there, and that all Christians have to go to Japan to receive salvation.

In 1935, Kiyomaro Takeuchi discovered 1900 year old document stored in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan, containing evidence, that Jesus (Joshua) born in Bethlehem to virgin Mary is buried in Herai Village in Aomori district of Japan. The document contained also Jesus will, requesting that his brother's tomb to be located next to his.

People in Herai, for almost 2000 years perform a dance and sing a very strange song: "Nanya Do Yara Nanya Do Nasareno Nanya Do Yara", repeated many times. This custom is very specific to Herai village. This song, as recorded in Japanese writing, has absolutely no meaning in the Japanese language. However, some people say that phonetically it resembles distorted Japanese phrases: "What is it? what's happening ?, what are you going to do ?".

The complete translation/decoding of the song riddle takes many pages and reveals, among many other things, the precise identity, ethnic origin, exact circumstances of Birth, education and the Magnitude of the Intellect of its Author, buried in Herai. Detailed analysis of ancient Hebrew words indicates that the song is a precise code referring to ancient Hebrew texts, well known in the 1-st century AD. The question seems to be in Japanese, the detailed answer is encoded as a riddle in Hebrew. The depth, precision and intelligence of the code in The Song is clearly a work of a genius. It took people on Earth almost 2000 years to decipher his song!

At local gift shops, believers and nonbelievers alike can buy Jesus coasters, Jesus thermometers, Jesus telephone cards and more.

One shop even sells “Kirisuto no Sato” sake.

Jesus Christ's direct descendant is a garlic farmer living in northeast Japan, or so residents in this isolated village say.

According to local legend, Jesus escaped here after the Romans tried to crucify him and died a peaceful death at the age of 106 after having fathered three daughters by a Japanese woman - SOURCE

Sorcerer turned Saudi woman into a sex slave

A Saudi banker told police that he had sex with a woman for nearly five years after luring her by magic, according Kabar, an Arabic language daily.

The woman, also Saudi, confirmed to members of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice that she had been having sexual relations with the man, and without knowing why.

“She said that she used to go to him whenever he called her and that she was also transferring money to him from her account involuntarily,” the paper said, adding that the man is an assistant manager at a major bank in Riyadh.

“When they searched her bag, they found a magic amulet which the man confessed to having concealed in her bag to keep the woman under his control … the amulet was destroyed and the magic spell was eliminated.”

Sorcery is punishable by death in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the preferred method of execution is public beheading by sword, followed by crucifixion - BM

If you are impotent forget viagra, try sonic blasts instead

It seems an unlikely treatment, but impotent men are being offered what is claimed to be the first permanent cure for their condition – sonic blasts applied  to the affected area.

The sound-wave treatment is being hailed as an alternative to drugs such as Viagra and Cialis.

But while medication treats symptoms, the new sonic therapy is said to tackle the cause.

Erectile dysfunction, which affects up to a quarter of men over 40, is most commonly caused by the hardening of the arteries, restricting blood flow.

But pioneers of the ED1000 treatment say the vibrations encourage new blood vessels to form.

Although the treatment sounds discomfiting – it involves directing pressurised sound waves directly on to the genitals – patients have been assured that it is pain-free.

Those undergoing the procedure – which involves 12 quarter-hour  sessions over a nine-week period –  are told to expect a tapping sensation as 100 blasts of sound waves are delivered each minute, followed by a tingling feeling afterwards.

First there is a gay marriage and now comes the hard part, gay divorce

A case at the Court of Appeal over the splitting of a gay couple’s £4 million assets has made headlines due to the couple’s differing financial situations.

Peter Lawrence, 47, and Don Gallagher, 54, had been together for eleven years but dissolved their civil partnership after seven months, The Times reports.

Mr Lawrence is paid nearly £400,000 a year in his role as a City analyst but Mr Gallagher had earned less over his career as a stage actor.

A lower court told the couple Mr Gallagher was entitled to £1.7 million in the dissolution of the partnership, most of which would come from the value of their central London flat.

Mr Lawrence is now appealing the case, claiming the flat should not be included in the settlement.

No more boys or girls in Sweden

The category of gender was canceled at one of Swedish kindergartens. The words "boy" and "girl" are no longer used there, while pronouns "he" and "she" were replaced with "it". Kindergarten teachers believe that they are successfully breaking the gender stereotypes so that the people of two sexes would not feel predominant towards each other. Experts say, though, that such seeming equality may lead to the genetic rebirth of the population and to the decline of human civilization.

The bizarre mission is taking place in the Swedish preschool called "Egalia." In this kindergarten, pronouns 'han' (he) and 'hon' (she) were replaced with genderless 'hen' - PRAVDA
